Kayla recently showcased her talents as a successful contestant on The Voice, and is playing live at The Dirty Drummer with a fiddle player buddy on July 23rd from 6-8pm. Kayla Von der Heide is a singer-songwriter originally from the Mojave Desert in Southern California and she recently moved to Bisbee, AZ. Kayla travels alone in the desert and gathers inspiration to create original music, photography/videos for her music and sometimes candles. Her work is inspired by her adventures and her pursuit to bring life back into the things that have gone forgotten. Her photography and videography capture the lonesome (and sometimes haunted) places that she finds interesting on the road and she incorporates her music into her videos to create a scene and a vision that almost seems back in “sepia tone” time. Kayla has released four albums independently that include all original songs, and Sept of 2022 she is recording her fifth installment that will be released at the end of the year/2023.
